Day 12, Thursday 12/9. Alcanadre - Calahorra (21kms)

Today we hear the call to intimacy and generosity.

Remember our daily prayer: "that I may see you more clearly, love you more dearly, and follow you more nearly." This is the grace I again ask for today as I endeavor to be an intimate companion of Jesus, bearing all wrongs, abuse and poverty as he did. In communion with him in prayer, work and rest I share and witness to his message of salvation, liberation, justice and peace to all people.

Setting off afresh from the railway station with hope and joy in our hearts.

Wind farms and solar energy abound. We seek an infinite source of energy in intimate companionship with our Leader.

Although a little physical rest is in order to drink in the beauty of the valley. One must care for oneself in order to be of service to others.

Vin from Ballarat along with his wife, Sandra, have long been valued companions on the journey for many people.

The beauty of God's garden accompanies us all day and reminds us of the abundance of our daily sustenance.

John Fitzgerald, Warrnambool priest, needs more than spiritual sustenance, as we all do: may we be ever ready to share all God's gifts with generosity, that no-one go hungry.

The garden continues to be rich with delights waiting to be harvested. This is the food bowl of Spain.

Feasting on wild blackberries: many of the best things in life are free and pure gift!

Our destination welcomes us, tired but satisfied with the day's journey. We look back remembering the joys and learn from the challenges which are always present!
